A small nodule was found in the prostate of former President Joe Biden after “a physical examination of routine,” a spokesman confirmed to ABC News on Tuesday.

“In a physical examination of routine a small nodule was found in the prostate that required an additional evaluation,” a spokesman told ABC News.

A “small nodule” can mean a wide range of things and will require more evidence to understand the underlying cause. It is too early to say that it is a benign lump caused by inflammation or something more serious.

In February 2023, while working as president, Biden took away an injury to his cancerous chest. Before entering the office, Biden had several non -melanoma leather cancers retired with Mohs surgery.

“As expected, the biopsy confirmed that the small injury was basal cell carcinoma,” said White House doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, at that time. “All cancerous fabric was successfully eliminated … no more treatment is required.”
