Two legislators of the State of Minnesota were triggered in apparent incidents “directed” on Saturday that left them in serious conditions, authorities said, and a human hunt is underway for the gunman.
A source familiar with the matter tells ABC News that the victims are state senator John Hoffman and state representative Melissa Hortman.
Both were shot in their homes and the authorities believe that the shooter was going through the police, said the source.

The two shooting places were about 8 miles away from each other in Champlin and Brooklyn Park, just north of Minneapolis.
Both Hoffman and Hortman are Democrats. Hortman is the former president of the Chamber of Representatives of Minnesota.
The FBI is helping with human hunting, two sources familiar with the ABC News matter said.
The governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, is also on the scene. Walz said that the state emergency operations center has activated.
