Pete Hegesh was asked about military recruitment by representative Mario Díaz-Balart, R-Fla., And the Secretary of Defense promoted a record number of people who have registered in military service. He said that more people were excited to serve under President Donald Trump.
The congressman made a sarcastic comment that referred to Hegseth and the position of the administration to eliminate transgender soldiers.
“Mr. Secretary, I am a little confused. Are you telling me that people who vote with the commitment to the country are not upset because they are not allowed to use different pronouns?” The congressman said.

Hegesh laughed between teeth, holding that “if they wanted to obtain an indoctrination of awakening, they can go to college.”
“On the other hand, they join the army where we are focused on the basics. We know that men are men, women are women,” he added.
