President Donald Trump confirmed on Wednesday that the United States personnel are being “transferred” from the Middle East in the midst of growing tensions with Israel and Iran.
“Well, they are moving because it could be a dangerous place, and we will see what happens. But they are, we have given a warning to move. We will see what happens,” said Trump, who walked along the red carpet at the Kennedy center, told journalists.
The State Department ordered the departure of all the non -essential personnel of its embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, due to the concern for the increase in security risks in the region, according to two officials of the State Department familiar with the matter.

Another American official said that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has authorized the voluntary departure of military dependents for places throughout the Middle East.
When asked if something could be done to reduce the temperature with Iran, Trump said: “They cannot have a nuclear weapon, personally. They cannot have a nuclear weapon. We will not allow that.”
Trump’s comments on Wednesday occur when the administration has worked to reach an agreement with Tehran to limit its nuclear program. The two parties have maintained several rounds of conversations, but they have not reached an agreement.
